Q:
How can students get involved at UHS?

A:
There are many ways you can get involved at UHS. The health of a community, even a campus community, is based on many factors. These include a sense of belonging for everyone, a sense of civic pride and engagement, feeling safe, feeling connected to others in the community, feeling like you are a critical part of something larger than yourself.

The mission of the UHS Campus Community Partnerships Team is to promote and support a healthy learning community, which we do through a variety of strategies and initiatives.

The Campus Community Partnerships Team includes: Civic Engagement Initiatives, Relationship Violence Prevention, Community Building, and Community Health Initiatives.

Examples of projects include:
  • The Students as Neighbors Initiative

  • The Graduation Pledge

  • Freedom Ride

  • PAVE (Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment) and/or MOSA (Men Opposing Sexual Assault)

  • The Campus Coordinated Community Response on Sexual Assault and Dating/Domestic Violence (Campus CCR or the University Subcommittee)

  • Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).
