Violence is a Community Issue
Violence and the fear of violence can disrupt the working and learning processes of the university community. The effects are costly, not only to individual victims but also to society as a whole: fear replaces safety, doubt replaces confidence, and distraction replaces concentration. We all deserve a safe campus on which to live and learn.

EVOC: End Violence on Campus
UHS serves as the administrative home to the End Violence on Campus (EVOC: say “evoke”) project, a multi-disciplinary effort between nearly 20 campus and community offices dedicated to ending violence against women.

Together, we can…

EVOC Equality by providing sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking prevention education to students.

EVOC Knowledge by offering professional development and training for law enforcement officers and judicial affairs officers.

EVOC Healing by increasing student access to victim advocacy services on campus and in the community.

EVOC Change by collaborating with a wide variety of campus and community partners to advocate for social change and policy reform.
