Sexually Transmitted Infections
We can discuss how best to prevent STIs, how to screen for them and how to treat if necessary. It is not possible to test for all STIs so talk to your clinician about what tests can be done. Tools such as Check Your Risk can also be helpful to determine which tests to take. Screening for chlamydia and gonorrhea is available by urine test. For accurate results, you must not urinate for two hours prior to the test. Testing can be done either in the Sexual Health Clinic or Women’s Clinic.
Pregnancy
UHS offers free, walk-in pregnancy testing and pregnancy support services which include options counseling for pregnant students and their partners. UHS does not offer pregnancy (prenatal) care.
In addition, we can help facilitate referrals to other clinics and organizations that do offer prenatal, adoption, and abortion services.
