Welcome!

We strive to provide the best care possible to each person who comes through our doors and to do so in a manner that is welcoming and respectful of everyone.

In addition to providing high quality health care, counseling, and prevention services at our new location in 333 East Campus Mall, our goal is to act in ways that are culturally competent and appropriate to the diverse communities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. If there are ways that we can improve our services to meet your needs, we hope that you will let us know.

Thank you for entrusting us with your care.

About UHS

University Health Services is the health clinic on campus, open to any current UW–Madison student. The team of experienced professionals combine routine health care (and you can choose to see the same primary care clinician throughout your UW years) with specialty clinics that focus on key health concerns. As experts in college health, we provide services such as:

[Chart of services available at UHS]

Most costs are already paid by your enrollment fees; the SHIP Health Plan is available for those needing more comprehensive medical coverage.
» Clinic Visit, Birth Control, Lab, and X-Ray Fees
» Immunization Prices
» Purchase Prices for Crutches, Braces, Splints

Our pharmacy has special reduced student prices on hundreds of prescription medications, and convenient telephone (263-4990) or online choices for ordering prescription refills.

And since we want you to stay well, UHS also works with student organizations to keep this campus safe and promote diversity and achievement.

Understanding UHS and making use of other health resources on campus can be tough on top of everything else you do. Many people are used to having their parents make appointments, keep track of their medical records, etc.

There are places on this web site where this information — like making appointments — is easy to figure out. Just click the "Appointments" menu item on the left. Other things can be a little trickier, so we'll continue to add features here to help you get the most out of UHS.

A good place to start is HealthPoint Online for articles about a lot of conditions common to college students, and what you can do to prevent or treat them.
