Occupational Medicine for the Research Enterprise
UHS provides select occupational medicine services to faculty and staff who work in research settings and UW-Madison students. Working closely with UW-Madison Occupational Health, this program is designed for the unique biologic, chemical, and physical hazards found within the research and academic environment.
Faculty and staff members should consult with their supervisor and/or the UW-Madison Occupational Health Officer regarding where to receive care. UHS does not provide routine occupational medicine services such as care of work-place injuries and illnesses unrelated to the research environment, emergency care, or evaluation for fitness for duty.
