We’re on campus to support students like you and help them be as successful as possible. We understand the complexities of student life -- and the many ways life can interfere when you’re trying to be a student.
Students come to us for help with a wide range of issues that can interfere with their functioning, productivity, or ability to feel happy. Our job as mental health professionals is to help them work toward solutions to their problems and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves.
In keeping with UHS’s respect for diversity, our experienced staff is committed to understanding and respecting every individual who comes through our doors. We know that many students have never been to a mental health counselor before, and we’re happy to explain the process and answer any questions you may have.
In addition to individual, couple/partner, and group counseling, we offer 24-hour crisis intervention services, psychiatric services and medication management, and referrals to providers in the community for mental health needs that go beyond what we can provide.
Our services are confidential, and any enrolled UW undergraduate or graduate student is eligible to make an appointment with us. There is no charge to students for our counseling sessions, because our services are paid through tuition and fees.
We are available to parents, faculty, and staff to provide consultation, advice, and outreach to support overall student mental health and make a healthier campus community overall.
