Our Services

How We Can Help

Our mental health professionals are committed to providing services for a diverse population in culturally respectful manner. Among the people we serve are international students; students of color; students from a wide range of religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds; gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students; students who have never been to a mental health visit before; first-generation college students; and students who may be older than many of their peers.

Many personal issues respond to brief, individual or couple/partner counseling, while others are most effectively addressed in a group setting. For some problems, medication is an important and very helpful treatment option in addition to therapeutic discussion. Every student is different, so we start with an Access consultation so we can determine the most appropriate services for you.

We also have a range of self-help resources and mental health topics listed on our website so you can explore your concerns outside of our offices as well.

The Mind-Body Connection

UHS recognizes the crucial connection between physical heath and psychological well-being. We also offer a selection of Personal Wellness services, including fitness counseling, nutritional counseling, yoga classes, massage therapy, tobacco cessation assistance, stress management counseling, and meditation groups.
