Sessions are $40 for a 50-minute massage.
Massage can decrease stress, relax the mind and body, diminish pain, decrease depressive and anxious feelings, increase concentration, and promote healthy sleep. Research shows that receiving a massage can improve your sense of well being.
During the semester, stress can weigh you down: mentally, physically, and academically. Massage is offered year round at UHS. Our professional massage therapists will lift the weight right off your shoulders.

Appointments
To schedule a massage, please call (608) 265-5600 prompt #2 to make an appointment. You can also schedule an appointment online at MyUHS.
When you have an appointment, come to 7th floor of the UHS building at 333 East Campus Mall. If this is your first massage appointment, the massage therapist will ask you fill out a health history form and sign a consent form, stating you understand the service.
At the beginning of the session, the massage therapist will talk with you about the type of massage you want. If you have a lot of muscle aches and pains you may want a vigorous massage; if you’re looking for relaxation, ask for that.
When the massage therapist leaves the room you can undress to the degree of your personal comfort. Some people prefer to be completely undressed, while others prefer to wear their underwear. Some people wear comfortable shorts and a light shirt. At all times your privacy is respected and you are covered with a sheet or blanket.
Feel free to talk to the therapist about the massage — he or she will want to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your massage.
