UHS has two units dedicated to preventing violence and supporting survivors
AlcoholEdu and U Got This! are now available!
UW-Madison students play an important role in promoting and protecting a safe and inclusive campus community. Our campus requires incoming first-year and new transfer students to complete two online prevention education programs— AlcoholEdu and U Got This!—by the deadlines listed below.
AlcoholEdu—Due Monday, August 27, 2018
AlcoholEdu is a two-part program that provides information to make well-informed decisions about alcohol, such as how to manage your own drinking if you choose to drink, and how to respond in situations where others are at risk of alcohol-related harm.
Part 1 takes two to three hours and you must complete it by August 27. Part 2 will be available 60 days after you complete Part 1. Part 2 is a 15-minute follow-up survey due by November 12.
U Got This!—Due Friday, September 21, 2018
U Got This! is a 60-minute program designed to help students understand and address sexual assault and dating violence. The deadline to complete U Got This! is Friday, September 21, 2018.
After you complete U Got This!, you will need to participate in one in-person GetWIse workshop with your peers by Friday, December 14, 2018. You will receive more information about workshop options at the beginning of the semester.
If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault or dating violence, help is available at UHS .
