Summer Health Fee
Staying in Madison this summer? Your student status changes after the semester ends.
What is it? The Summer Health Fee is $106 and provides access to UHS’s usual services—including medical and mental health care—between May 13 and August 31, 2018.
Students who were enrolled through the Spring 2018 semester can use UHS until May 19, 2018 without paying a fee.
Who is it for? Any student who was enrolled during the Spring 2018 semester is eligible to pay the Summer Health Fee, including recent graduates.
If you are taking classes over the summer, the Summer Health Fee is included in your tuition. All Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) members with active coverage are eligible to use UHS during the summer. Guest students are not eligible to use UHS because they do not pay segregated fees during the academic year.
Short term loans may be sought by students when an unexpected life event or circumstance takes place that causes financial hardship.
UHS services become available to all students enrolled for the Fall semester on August 15, 2018. Students can also purchase massage therapy appointments throughout summer without paying the Summer Health fee.
