UHS celebrates Latinx Heritage Month
University Health Services is proud to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month. We recognize and honor the enduring contributions and importance of Latinx students to our campus. We honor the many heritages and cultures of students from or with ancestors from the Caribbean, Spain, Central, and South America.
We respect the strengths and resilience of the Latinx community. We also acknowledge that communities of color are disproportionately impacted by issues such as oppression, prejudice, and inequitable systems of power and privilege.
As an organization, we are committed to supporting Latinx students through a variety of services, including our Student of Color and Men of Color groups, our outreach at the Red Gym, our work to match students with providers of specific identities and languages, our Dígame sessions, and our other campus-based programming.
We encourage all students to check out the events on campus in celebration of Latinx History Month.
