Madrone Love is a person with short curly black hair.

Madrone Love joined UHS in 2022 as a doctoral psychology intern in Mental Health Serices. Love looks forward to working with students who are navigating anxiety and low mood related to life transitions, identity development, health concerns, relationship/family stress, grief and loss, sleep challenged, athletic or artistic performance, and socio-political climate related distress.

Love’s therapeutic approach focuses on compassion, insight, and mindfulness-based practices. Love welcomes students of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, races, and ability statuses.

Love chose to work at UW-Madison because she enjoys the openness and curiosity of university students. Love looks forward to working with students as they explore who they are and learn to “surf the waves” of life’s ups and downs.

Outside of UHS, Love enjoys running, yoga, meditation, playing her harp, and spending time in the wilderness.
