Carmen Juniper Neimeko
Violence Prevention & Survivor Services Manager
Carmen works on the Violence Prevention & Survivor Services staff team which addresses sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking through primary prevention programs, confidential victim advocacy, and enhancing the campus response to gender based violence. She has been at UW-Madison since 2004 and is the chair of the UW-Madison EVOC Coordinating Council, provides significant consultation on Clery and Title IX implementation efforts; and serves as the Chancellor’s designee on the Dane County Commission on Sensitive Crimes. Carmen co-instructs two courses in the School of Social Work, focusing on masculinity and contemporary primary prevention practice. A queer feminist, Carmen is a former staff member at the Montana Coalition against Domestic and Sexual Violence; PRIDE! Montana; the Toledo, Ohio, YWCA Battered Woman’s Shelter; and the University of Toledo Sexual Assault Education and Prevention Program.
