Survivor Services Coordinator
Zoë Whaley joined UHS as Survivor Services Coordinator in 2016. Prior to working at UW-Madison she served as the Violence Prevention and Sexual Wellness Coordinator at San Jose State University, where she provided one-on-one mental health services to students.
In her role as Survivor Services Coordinator, Zoë provides confidential emotionally supportive counseling to students who have experienced sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, and harassment. Zoë’s role also allows her to advocate on behalf of students by accompanying them to academic, legal, and systems related appointments and meetings. Zoë provides one-on-one and group counseling.
Zoë has a great appreciation for and interest in the mind/body relationship and has a background in trauma-informed care. She creates a safe and nonjudgmental space where students can explore their options, process feelings, and make decisions that feel right for them. Zoë seeks to ensure that students feel empowered and supported, and she recognizes the unique desires and needs of each individual student.
