As the situation surrounding the spread of COVID-19 continues to rapidly change, UW-Madison has the following updates regarding the 2020 Big10 Health Promotion Meeting:
- The health and safety of meeting attendees and our community are of the utmost importance. We continue to follow recommendations from the CDC and local public health experts to guide our decision making about events and meetings on campus.
- Understanding that an in-person gathering may not be feasible or advisable in May, we are exploring options to connect virtually during this time instead.
What you can do:
- If you would have interest in connecting with Big10 health promotion colleagues via a virtual meeting (still within the May 19-21 timeframe) please still register using the current registration link. There is no-cost for registration and we will be extending the deadline to be more flexible given the fluidity of the situation.
- If you would have interest presenting or leading a discussion (knowing that may be virtually) we encourage you to still submit your interest. We may also extend this deadline.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding in advance. At this moment, we cannot account for all possibilities, but will continue to communicate about a potential virtual meeting option as the situation evolves. We also want to acknowledge the burden and stress that this current situation may be taking on university employees across our institutions at this time. We are thankful for the work that you all do to support students and keep your campus communities safe and healthy.
