Clinical Operations Manager, Special Assistant to the Director’s Office
Friendly people and smiling faces are what welcome you at UHS, Pamela Miller says.
Miller works in managing Clinical Operations, and as the Assistant to the Director’s Office, where she helps staff members where help is needed.
In Clinical Operations, Miller works in adding appointments to medical provider’s schedules, maintaining medical equipment, and supervising the reception staff.
Miller explains the reception staff is the first contact students have when making an appointment with UHS. She says the reception team works hard to make sure all students can be seen in an appropriate amount of time, and at a date that works for their school schedule.
“We are very welcoming, and we try to help them [students] to get better,” Miller says.
Miller enjoys helping students, and values the importance of helping them, especially when they might be away from their parents for the first time.
Miller started working at UHS in 2010, and has worked at UHS for eight years as of summer 2018. Her favorite part of the job is the people she works with.
“We have so many people who are passionate about working with the students, and I find that very rewarding to work with, all these people who are so good at what they do,” Miller says.
She encourages students to use the services available at UHS, and is confident the reception staff can help students.
