Senior Class Transition Series

In 2025, The Senior Class Office selected UHS Mental Health Services to receive their monetary class gift. The gift, spanning over the course of a few years, is designed to ensure all seniors are equipped with practical post-grad skills, with the vision that every Badger transitions into alumni life embodying the values of the Wisconsin Idea.

All events feature a fun activity, free food, and a Bucky plushy for the first 10 attendees at each event!

Dinner with Direction: Post-Grad Talk

Join UHS for a “real talk” roundtable discussion. Enjoy vegetarian potstickers, chicken tenders, and mac and cheese while engaging in conversations with your peers and gaining practical advice on job searching, grad school applications, and building a strong resume and cover letter. The first 10 attendees will receive a Bucky Plushy!

Wednesday, February 18th from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at Union South, Room 233

Money Management After College

Attend this workshop hosted by UHS and UW Credit Union to build financial literacy, set personalized financial goals, and learn budgeting strategies for post-grad life. Enjoy light snacks, vision boarding, and a Bucky Plushy for the first 10 attendees.

Managing Anxiety & Depression Post-Grad

Join UHS for a collaborative workshop to explore strategies to help manage anxiety and depression during the post-grad transition. Enjoy Ian’s pizza, mindfulness exercises, and a Bucky Plushy for the first 10 attendees.

Art Production as Self-Care

Join UHS for a self-care workshop focused on preventing burnout in grad school, the workplace, and daily life. Enjoy chicken tikka masala, chana masala, basmati rice, and naan while engaging in discussion and creating your own neurographica and doodle art. The first 10 attendees will receive a Bucky Plushy!

Cap Decorating with UHS and Division of Arts

Decorate your graduation cap, reminisce with friends, and get ready for your next step. Art materials will be provided. Don’t forget your cap!

Do I need to bring my own art supplies?

You do not need to bring your own art supplies. Wheelhouse Studios will provide all art supplies at no cost. Attendees are responsible for bringing their graduation cap. View more information about cap & gown rentals. 

Do I have to stay for the entire duration of the event?

You do not have to stay for the entire duration of the events.

Can I attend if I am not a senior?

While all three events are designed for the senior class, all students are welcome to attend.

Does it cost anything to attend?

There is no cost to attend the three events. UHS Mental Health Services would like to thank The Class of 2025 for their generous gift to fund this event series.

Do I need to register before showing up?

While it is not required, it is highly recommended that you RSVP to ensure we have enough space, food, and materials. Cap Decorating is a drop-in event and does not require RSVP.
