University Health Services (UHS) provides a 24-hour crisis line available at 608-265-5600 (option 9).
This service is always available, including weekends, holidays, semester breaks, and during the summer. We receive calls from students, family members, partners, friends, roommates, faculty, housing staff, and other campus community members who are concerned about a student. If you’re concerned about the mental health or well-being of a student, call UHS to speak with an on-call crisis counselor.
If the situation is immediately life-threatening, call call 911 or get safely to the nearest hospital emergency room.
