Find Your Role: Bystander Intervention
Strategies to Prevent Sexual Violence on Campus
Preparing the campus community to be effective bystanders is an evidence-based strategy to prevent sexual and relationship violence on college campuses.
While most students are motivated to intervene when they witness something harmful, they may encounter barriers that make it more difficult, such as a fear that their peers won’t support their decision to intervene. Practicing intervention skills and having conversations with friends about bystander values make it easier for all of us to step in and make a difference.
“Find Your Role” provides the campus community with actionable tools and tips for intervening to prevent harm.
