Staying in Madison this summer? Your student status changes when the spring semester ends.
What is it?
A $110 fee that provides access to all UHS services from May 17 – August 31, 2020.
Who is it for?
Any student who was enrolled during the Spring 2020 semester is eligible to pay the Summer Health Fee, including recent graduates.
If you are taking classes over the summer, the Summer Health Fee is included in your tuition. All Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) members with active coverage are eligible to use UHS during the summer. Guest students are not eligible to use UHS because they do not pay segregated fees during the academic year.
Paying for the summer health fee
If you need help paying for the student health fee, UHS can assist you with a $110 grant (this amount does not need to be paid back). Contact your provider through MyUHS to apply for the summer health fee grant. If you don’t have a provider, call 608-265-5600 to speak with a staff member.
The Budget and Finance office is currently closed and unavailable to take in-person payment due to COVID-19. Please pay online with this link. The Dean of Students Office provides short term loans may be sought by students when an unexpected life event or circumstance takes place that causes financial hardship.
Why do I need this during summer?
- On-campus resources if you get sick.
- Access to student-friendly clinics such as Mental Health, Sexual Health, Women’s Health.
- Continuation of any services you use during the semester.
