Biography

Beth joined UHS in 2018.

As the Associate Director of Clinical Services, Beth provides leadership and support across Mental Health Services, with a focus on supporting clinical programs, collaborating with campus partners to respond to mental health crises, and overseeing day-to-day service delivery for students. She also values the opportunity to provide direct mental health care and crisis support to students.

Approach

Beth brings a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach to her work, partnering with students to help them clarify their mental health goals and connect with the services and resources that best fit their needs.

In her counseling work, she draws from somatic/mind-body and nervous system regulation practices, dialectical behavior therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, while also attending to the ways systems and environments shape students’ experiences.

Beth believes that meaningful change happens both in and between sessions, and partners with students to find practical and sustainable ways to apply new skills, insights, and practices in their daily lives.
