Beth joined Mental Health Services in September 2018.  She has a passion for working with students and is excited to be back in the university setting after having previously worked as a Residence Hall Director and Health and Wellness Programs Coordinator at another university, as well as having completed a master’s degree internship in a college counseling center.

Prior to joining UHS, Beth spent four and a half years providing community-based mental health services to youth and families in a short-term crisis stabilization model.

Being a student is a time of excitement, growth, and change; it can also come with stress and challenges. Beth enjoys partnering and collaborating with students to address their mental health as part of the holistic picture of their lives. In her role at UHS, Beth provides care management to connect students with services and resources (including to higher levels of care when needed and for ongoing monitoring and support when needed or requested), meets with students following psychiatric hospitalization, facilitates group therapy sessions, and provides on-call services. She also works with campus partners to streamline and improve delivery of mental health services and support.  Beth has a particular interest in working with underserved populations and with individuals in crisis.
