Amanda Jovaag joined University Health Services (UHS) in June 2019 as the Director of Prevention and Campus Health Initiatives.

Prior to UHS, she was the Rankings Team Director for the County Health Rankings report, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation program managed through the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Amanda has spent two decades in public health and received her Master’s degree in population health sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Amanda’s previous work involved creating an evidence-based public health practice website for the Wisconsin Division of Public Health; assisting with the surveillance and evaluation of Wisconsin’s Tobacco Prevention and Control Program; and serving as an epidemiology and evaluation consultant for the Wisconsin Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant, a substance abuse prevention effort funded by SAMSHA.

Amanda has worked for the university since 2003.
