Biography
Rhiannon joined UHS in 2024.
In her role, Rhiannon provides both individual and group counseling services to students, and is also very involved in Mental Health Services training programs. Rhiannon is an individual and group supervisor, and co-facilitator of our Multicultural Seminar for our doctoral interns.
Approach
Rhiannon’s clinical work stems from person-in-environment and systems theories, which emphasize that individual mental health does not exist in a vacuum, but is shaped by complex, interconnected environments, as well as social, cultural, and physical contexts. Rhiannon works to address student concerns holistically, integrating physical and social wellbeing into treatment.

Rhiannon primarily, but not solely, works with students of color, and has notable training in nature-based therapy and supervision.
Personal Interests
Rhiannon is both Hunkpapa, Lakota, and Caucasian, and her own experiences and explorations of identity greatly support her work with student of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Outside of work, Rhiannon is an avid rock climber and paddler.
