Biography
Adam joined UHS in 2023.
Adam supports students experiencing a range of situational and episodic crises, helping them identify effective strategies for stabilizing their circumstances and connecting them to services at UHS and/or the broader community.
Approach
In his role, Adam takes a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, incorporating mindfulness-based interventions as well as cognitive-behavioral, existentialist, and narrative therapies. This includes a holistic approach to health and wellness that emphasizes identifying existing strengths, natural supports, and available resources to promote stability, while collaboratively determining the next steps that best align with the student’s needs.

Professional Interests/Specializations
Adam has experience in working with populations experiencing severe mental health concerns, substance use/misuse, income and housing insecurity, In support, Adam helps clients from populations that have experienced marginalization and stigmatization find their sense of empowerment.
Personal Interests
Adam is an avid music fan, taking in as much live music as the local area can offer. Adam is a year round bicycle commuter and loves the different experiences that riding in each of the seasons bring. Spending time outside alone and with friends and family are replenishing for Adam.
