Portrait of Chyna Lewis

Chynna Lewis is the coordinator of the online violence prevention programming for graduate and professional students. She is currently incorporating research done on the graduate and professional population to overhaul the current online program.

Chynna participates in campus committees and has hopes of developing innovative ways to meet the unique needs of graduate and professional students in areas around sexual-misconduct and gender-based violence.

Chynna has prior experiences working in medical settings with individuals who have experienced IPV and sexual violence, coordinating a First Year experience which recruited, educated, and supported more than 50 peer educators, and co-facilitating a class at her alumni Washington University in St. Louis to undergraduate students around topics of sex, sexuality, and gender. She is committed to disrupting systems in order to erode oppressive structures and providing a supportive and engaging environment for all, but especially for people who are Black and POC, and others with marginalized and silenced identities.
