Kari Treu joined UHS in 2022 as a trainee in the postgraduate fellowship program. Treu focuses on eating and body image concerns, as well as supporting LGBTQ+ populations. Treu’s additional clinical interests include chronic pain/illness, substance use, sexual health/wellbeing, and interpersonal violence. Treu has experience working with individuals mandated for AODA sessions, and is skilled in facilitating mindfulness and meditation.
Treu bases her practice in a foundation of feminist and person-centered theories, in addition to utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques.
Outside of UHS, Treu enjoys yoga, watching movies, being out in nature, and spending time with her cats.
