Frequently asked questions

|

UHS does not ship or receive medications on a student’s behalf. Students may deliver and pick-up all medications in person at the UHS Community Health Department (6th Floor Green, UHS 333 East Campus Mall) during posted business hours. If students deliver and pick up, they need to sign a Medication Transport Attestation Form with a Community Health Registered Nurse (RN) upon arrival. Medications must be in the original prescription box/container with the label intact.

If you need to ship medication that needs to be refrigerated, we strongly recommend contacting a local pharmacy to receive and store the items.

We have also selected  Waters Residence Hall as the central location to receive and store refrigerated medication. This location will serve all residence hall students on campus.  UW Housing: See “Mail & Packages” – “Medications” for more information.

Please notify the Community Health team via secure message in MyUHS or phone call, 608-265-5600 (option 1), 1-2 days in advance of the date you want to pick up your medication. You may pick up your medication during UHS business hours.

Please notify the Community Health team team via secure message in MyUHS or phone call, 608-265-5600 (option 1) prior to your scheduled appointment if you are not feeling well. Depending on your symptoms, it may be advised that your injection be postponed until your symptoms improve and/or resolve.
