Getting to UHS
Check Madison Metro for a full listing of routes that stop near UHS including 2, 3, 4, 6, and 9, and the 85 campus bus.
Garage parking and on-street parking are available in the area, including Lot 46 on Lake Street, the garage under University Square (entrance on Lake Street), and the parking garage between University and State (entrances on Lake and Frances streets). UHS does not validate or reimburse for parking.
Disabled Parking Permit
A temporary UW DIS permit may be purchased by employees, students, or visitors at any Transportation Services office with written notification from a doctor. The permit is valid for up to two months and will not be extended without a valid State DOT permit.
To purchase the permit, you’ll need to fill out a disabled parking permit application (PDF). This can be done ahead of time or in office at the time of purchase.
