Heidi Binder’s area of focus is trauma and working with Survivor Services. She also have strong interests in working with LGBTQIA+ students, neurodivergent students, and grad students.
“I am excited about working here at UHS because of the diverse, interdisciplinary staff and the variety of services I can provide to students, including individual therapy, group therapy, and outreach. I love working in college mental health because I am passionate about helping students of all ages and backgrounds cope during a phase of life that is often very stressful and demanding.”
Her dissertation research focuses on sexual orientation and religion.
“I enjoy being able to work with students who are working through their sexual and/or religious/spiritual identities.”
Outside of her work as a postdoctoral fellow, she enjoy listening to podcasts and audiobooks, playing board games, and going to concerts and live theatre.
